Can You Dance? (CYD?) was established in 2012 when Matt and Tom met on the BBC 1 TV show 'So You Think You Can Dance.' What began with a single event has now flourished into a network of 6 Regional Conventions, a Teachers Convention, the CYD? Masterclass Games, CYD? N.I, the CYD x Joffery Intensive and their flagship event, the CYD? Super Convention. Complementing these achievements, CYD? takes pride in its remarkable company of 55 dancers known as the CYD? Dance Stars Company.

Positioned at the forefront of the dance events industry, CYD? is credited with introducing the dance convention scene to the UK. The concept was conceived to provide a platform where dancers could receive education and inspiration within a supportive and professional environment. At the heart of CYD?'s mission is the unwavering commitment to placing dancers at the forefront, with every event meticulously designed to enhance the dancer's experience.

Matt and Tom extend heartfelt gratitude to each and every supporter for their unwavering encouragement. The history of CYD? is a testament to its evolution from a singular event to a pioneering force in the dance community.

Matt Flint

In addition to his role at CYD?, Matt is a versatile creative professional with a wide-ranging scope in Entertainment, Events, TV, film, and commercials. He was most recently Creative Director for the Queens Jubilee – Platinum Party At The Palace, working alongside international artists & collaborators.

Other recent credits include – Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway & The National Television Award’s (Creative Dir.), Strictly Come Dancing (BBC) & the Tik Tok Commercial ‘Through the ages’ (2021).

Matt has a decade of experience producing & directing LIVE events across the UK.

TOM SHILCOCK

Tom is a versatile Freelance Event Producer and Choreographer, boasting an extensive portfolio that spans high-profile fashion shows, product launches, corporate events, and hair shows. His commitment to teaching became a catalyst for co-creating Can You Dance? alongside his close friend Matt.

Tom's impressive dance career includes performances with numerous international artists such as Jason Derulo, Rita Ora, Meghan Trainor, Take That, Cheryl Cole, Tulisa Constostavlos, Rihanna, Elton John, Gary Barlow and many others. He has also appeared on popular TV shows like The X Factor, Stars In Their Eyes (resident dancer), So You Think You Can Dance UK (top 5), Britain’s Got Talent, The Royal Variety Show, The Brit Awards & Dancing On Ice.
